Privacy Policy

This policy explains how JIAYOU! (the “Service”) handles information when you use the Kanban board at lgtyqz.github.io/jiayou. JIAYOU is a static web application: the current version has no developer-operated application server, user-account database, analytics, or advertising.

Information the Service handles

• Board information. Card titles, descriptions, categories, colors, positions, board names, and related board settings that you enter or import.
• Browser storage. The active board is saved in local storage. If you connect Google Drive, local storage also remembers that choice and the active Drive file’s ID and name.
• Google authorization. A short-lived Google OAuth access token is kept in session storage. It is not placed in local storage. JIAYOU does not request your Google profile, contacts, email, or ordinary Drive files.
• Hosting information. GitHub Pages hosts the site. GitHub states that it logs visitors’ IP addresses for security and may process other service usage information under its own privacy statement. JIAYOU’s maintainer does not receive board contents through GitHub Pages.

Google Drive data

Connecting Google Drive is optional. If you choose it, JIAYOU requests only the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.appdata scope. This lets the app create, list, read, update, rename, duplicate, and delete JIAYOU board files in Google Drive’s hidden application-data folder. It does not grant access to files elsewhere in your Drive.

Drive requests and board contents travel directly between your browser and Google over HTTPS. The project maintainer does not operate a backend that receives or stores your Google access token or Drive board contents.

JIAYOU’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

How information is used and shared

Information is used only to display your boards, preserve edits, import or download board files, and provide the optional Drive sync features you request. JIAYOU does not sell personal information, use it for advertising, or share it with data brokers.

Information is transmitted to Google only when you use Drive features. GitHub processes basic hosting data as the site host. Their practices are governed by the Google Privacy Policy and GitHub Privacy Statement.

Retention, deletion, and your choices

• Local board data remains in your browser until you clear this site’s stored data. Download a board first if you want a backup.
• OAuth access tokens remain in session storage until they expire, you disconnect Drive, or the browser session removes them.
• Disconnect Drive removes JIAYOU’s locally stored connection state but does not delete boards already stored in Drive or revoke Google consent.
• Use Manage → Delete to permanently delete a Drive board. Google’s application-data folder does not support trash, so this cannot be undone.
• You can revoke JIAYOU’s Google access from your Google Account connections. Google also lets you remove the app’s hidden application data.

Security

The published site and Google API requests use HTTPS. The Service limits Google access to its own application-data folder and keeps access tokens out of persistent local storage. No web application can guarantee absolute security, so avoid placing information in a board that you would not want stored on your device or in your Google account.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Google Drive is optional; the board remains usable without signing in.

Changes and contact

This policy may be updated if the Service’s data practices change. The date above will be revised when that happens. Questions or requests can be submitted through the JIAYOU GitHub issue tracker. Issues are public, so do not include access tokens, board contents, or other sensitive information.
