Terms of Service

Last updated: September 12, 2026

These Terms govern your use of JIAYOU! (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service

JIAYOU is a free, static Kanban application. You can use it locally in your browser, import and download board files, and optionally connect Google Drive to store multiple boards. No purchase or JIAYOU account is required.

Your boards and responsibilities

You retain ownership of content you place in your boards. You are responsible for that content, for keeping appropriate backups, and for ensuring that your use complies with applicable law and does not violate another person’s rights.

You may not use the Service to distribute malicious code, interfere with the Service or its providers, gain unauthorized access to systems or data, or otherwise use the Service unlawfully.

Google Drive

Google Drive integration is optional and requires you to authorize JIAYOU through Google OAuth. Your use of Google services is also subject to Google’s applicable terms and policies. You may disconnect Drive in JIAYOU or revoke access from your Google Account at any time.

Drive synchronization uses last-write-wins behavior and does not merge simultaneous card edits. Avoid editing the same board on multiple devices at once. Deleting a Drive board through JIAYOU is permanent because Google Drive’s hidden application-data folder does not support trash.

Availability and changes

The Service may be changed, interrupted, or discontinued at any time. Features may depend on your browser, local storage, network access, GitHub Pages, Google APIs, and Google Drive. There is no promise that the Service will always be available, compatible, or free of errors.

No warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. This includes implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the project maintainer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so these limitations apply only to the extent allowed by law.

Ending use

You may stop using the Service at any time. You can clear local data through your browser, delete Drive boards through the Service, and revoke Google access through your Google Account. Provisions that by their nature should survive—including ownership, warranty disclaimers, and liability limitations—will survive the end of use.

Privacy and changes to these Terms

The Privacy Policy explains how the Service handles information. These Terms may be revised as the Service changes. The updated version and its revision date will be published on this page. Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

Questions about these Terms can be submitted through the JIAYOU GitHub issue tracker. Issues are public, so do not include access tokens, board contents, or other sensitive information.
